The sophisticated modern Miami mansion also includes walk-in closets, a fitness room, 3-car garage, natural stone and wood flooring, central vac, high-tech sound and security throughout. An impressive vertical garden extends to almost the full height of the two-story home, dramatically framed in solid white concrete. The towering vertical planting visually links the lush green lawn with the green spray of tree foliage.
The contemporary architecture of the home is linear and sharp edged in a minimalist fashion. The volumes of the home stand as flat topped glass boxes or glass display cases - showing all that is inside.
The airy dual height living room is open to a mezzanine level. Natural stone walls and wood cladding to an upper suspended volume warm up the look of the white decor scheme. A natural area rug creates a centre point around which to anchor all of the lounge furniture. The wooden nesting coffee tables at the centre of the furniture arrangement are the Live Edge type ..
Dual height windows give the open living room a view of the garden all the way from roots to treetops. The floor level windows are actually retractable doors which open up onto a sun patio with outdoor sitting areas.
An outdoor wooden volume on the opposite wing of the house matches the wood clad interior volume that hangs above the living room. A neat bar area resides behind the lounge sofa, in front of a line of storage cabinets and bespoke shelving.
The open staircase design has floating wooden treads and a transparent glass balustrade.
A Live Edge dining table has been matched with six low-backed taupe modern dining chairs . The natural colour and material of the dining ensemble works in harmony with the lush green garden view through surrounding windows. Tree themed artwork bridges the break in the view.
A SieMatic eat-in island kitchen has been fitted with top of the line appliances. Smooth woodtone slides up against gloss white kitchen cabinets to make refreshing contrast.
End-to-end and floor-to-ceiling white units cover one entire wall of the kitchen. A couple of swivel bar stools at each end of the kitchen island form two different dining spots. Spotlights are recessed into dropped ceiling panels over the kitchen arrangement.
An upholstered platform bed looks out over another spectacular garden view from the master bedroom. The bed and two small side tables with bedside table lamps are set against a half height partially dividing wall. A bedroom sitting area resides behind the divide with its own garden aspect; wood flooring links the two areas as one.
One of the bathrooms enjoys garden views of the private plot, with huge glass panes encircling a freestanding bathtub and double vanity unit.
The mezzanine landing has a glass balustrade so that the green views from outside and the fresh white ground floor scheme can carry straight on through. The landing leads around to a multi-use space that appears to hang as an individual box, suspended over the living room below.
Inside the ‘box’ room we find glorious dual aspect windows, framed in wood planking. The room is accessed via an interior glass door.
