With its clean lines and minimalist feel, it is elegant and soothing without being too fussy. The images that are showcased here, however, are the opposite of this subdued aesthetic. The CG artists featured have created regal interiors better suited for royalty than a character on Mad Men. And even if most of us can only dream of the kind of wealth that would be necessary to purchase and maintain this type of home, there is nothing stopping us from pausing to appreciate the possibility....

Located in Burlingame, California, this home is the beautiful Eichler residence remodel, by San Francisco based firm Klopf Architecture . The unimposing single story structure holds a stunning sophisticated open plan living space, and surrounds a central contemporary courtyard. The open plan scheme and glazed walls allow the homeowner to see each area of their home without obstruction, yet the staggered layout creates an interesting dynamic that is incredibly welcoming and prevents the house from appearing as an open soulless slab....

House of Ipês in Sao Paulo, Brazil, was a project embarked upon a decade ago by Marcio Kogan , a design of exposed concrete that many builders deemed practically impossible. The heavy material has been given amazing grace in this construction, with the magnitude appearing to float above the glass volume of the lower floor. In the upper mass, bedrooms surround a central TV room, and receive light via a wooden panel on the facade that is broken into shutters....

These smooth renders, by Anton Valiev , depict an apartment in St.Petersburg awash with a soft neutral palette and a pristine traditional finish. In the master bedroom suite, feminine fleur-de-lis wallpaper in powder blue freshens cream furniture and trims, along with matching blue bedcover and sofa accent cushions, to tie the whole scheme together from top to toe.
