Elegant home interiors don’t have to be stiff and stuffy. Elegance can be combined with a fresh modern flavour to present a place that is full of personality. Take these three interiors for example; they are infused with chic elegance and sophistication but each have their own contemporary twist. Home design number one takes us on a journey of sumptuous texture, curves and carefully placed colour tones. Interior number two is a much brighter affair, with high contrast hues, chunky gold accent pieces, decadent lighting and eye-catching art. Our final visit is to a calm and coordinated dwelling where we meet quirky details and unusual paint techniques. Which design would you choose?

Lilac and blue accent pieces accumulate the perfect amount of powdery tones inside home design number one; just enough to add personality without changing the calm energy of the place. A couple of wall sconces by the mantlepiece add a cosy glow to the cool toned room.

Our second home is located in Moscow, Russia, with an area of 110 square metres.
We find another confetti pattern floor here, this time in the main living room. The pattern brings together the yellow and grey tones in the room.
A bright blue sofa is the star of the show, with golden yellow scatter cushions. Purple armchairs make contrast.
The bold colour teamed with glossy materials, marble, gold, brass, plus individual elements of decor make this interior especially individual.
Dining chairs and benches are upholstered in various materials to add pop and personality.

Out final tour is around a home that at first glimpse appears peaceful and even quite tame, but surprises await.
Gold accent furniture gives the neutral space a precious high-end look. The tones also help to visually warm the pale scheme. An Eames bird and a monochrome houndstooth fabric armchair add high-fashion flair.
Behind the lounge, a dining area has received an unusual paint effect panel over wainscotting.
A blush section overlaps the traditional wall panelling to give it contemporary edge. An ombre effect curtain is tipped in teal.

There is a glass wall ensuite bathroom adjoined to the master bedroom, which puts a luxury freestanding bath on display to the sleep space. A sleek black floating wall shelf is mounted to the wall opposite the foot of the bed, displaying a minimalist botanical arrangement. A matching black bed runner cuts across the pale duvet cover .
The blush colour scheme continues inside the luxury ensuite bathroom, in wall paintwork and vanity unit storage shelves. The pink tone softens the rest of the monochrome scheme with its heavy black bathroom furniture.
The home is blessed with a dedicated dressing room, which includes glass fronted closets and a dressing table by the window. A green chair faces the vanity unit and the green view through the glass. An upholstered bench is set in the centre of the room to assist with dressing.
