Created for a young married couple, this bright 105 square metre home interior is situated in the PIRS residential complex, Minsk, Belarus. Visualised by Zrobim Architects , the main concept for the interior was to maximise permeability of light and space. Only a small WC gains no access to natural daylight, whilst glass partition walls share the resource between all other spaces, including two bedrooms. This transparency also creates a connectivity between each area: the hallway trickles openly into the kitchen diner, the kitchen diner attaches with the bedrooms, and the master bedroom flows seamlessly into the ensuite bathroom , which results in an easy flow for relaxed modern living.
Bold colour choices characterise the cheerful modern living room . Almost all of the furniture in this apartment was custom made for the space by the architects, right down to the cushioned furniture.
A rounded rectangle rug echoes the outline of the modern sofa, causing a ripple of curves at the border the lounge space.
The unique coffee table takes on a cart-like appearance with a set of wheels and a handle to pull. A dark green armchair strikes a stylish silhouette by the lounge window.

A long wall of white pantry cabinets brightly reflect the natural light from the large kitchen window. Because the kitchen’s dimensions are large for the scale of the living room, the architects decided to hide away as many elements of it as possible.
A large indoor plant tones down the hard linearity of the kitchen design, to help integrate the area with the adjacent softer lounge space.
The pantry facade bends around the corner of the kitchen diner space to connect with the home entryway. In this space, the cabinets take on a bright mirrored finish.
Dining stools line up along a ledge behind the cooking island, where guests can chat with the cook, or the couple can sip coffee by the window.

The mirrored section of the kitchen cabinetry volume forms a hallway closet, as well as a smooth flow between the two separate areas. The whole storage structure is mounted clear of the floor, and short of the ceiling, to create a light floating effect that offsets its bulk.

When the bedrooms’ privacy curtains are opened, the apartment floor plan can be seen in its entirety, bar the bathrooms.
The single bedroom features a home workspace with a made-to-measure desktop. A red desk chair and a unique wall clock add upbeat flashes of colour.
Another bespoke rug design cuts a fitting template around the bedroom layout.
Green throw pillows accent the modern sofa bed, which creates a visual link with the green armchair in the neighbouring lounge and a thriving indoor plant by the window.

The other side of the glass partition wall gives entry into the master bedroom. An unconventional furniture arrangement sees the bed oriented towards the window, both for the glorious morning view and to solidly separate the sleep space from the living room.
From the back, the headboard resembles the living room sofa design to disguise the room’s true identity through the glass wall. A simple floor lamp adds to the illusion.
