Our first small apartment design is a London pad, measuring 521 square feet, or 48 square meters. Two large windows help out here by filling the compact space with natural light, but the décor scheme helps things along with an airy, bright palette.

Our second compact apartment, based in Sweden, measures 377 square feet, or 35 square meters. This small home interior takes a different route entirely, incorporating a whole host of eclectic items to form a welcoming homey atmosphere.
Contemporary and traditional work together to create interest in this scheme, to keep the eye moving around the close quarters. A central circular coffee table helps the free-flow of the layout, keeping the energy of the space moving without halting at right angles.

It’s possible to close-off the chef’s kitchen during occasions when catering is in progress, or it can be left open to enjoy as part of the open plan flow that includes the expansive living and dining areas.
A roof-long skylight in the 34 feet high central gallery is the crowning glory of this home, letting in a stream of natural sunlight and giving the home a continually moving skyscape of clouds and stars.
