If you are lover of all things bright and colourful then these two vibrant home tours are sure to light you up. Warm colour can evoke feelings of happiness, optimism and energy in a person. Pattern brings a form of art onto the walls of our own homes, to our floors and furniture. Take a tour around these two entirely different ways of of incorporating an uplifting energised colour scheme into a living room, dining kitchen, bedroom or bathroom. From one colour infused ethnic vibe interior, to a home filled with eclectic decor, this set takes us on a quirky trip of dazzling whimsy and wonder.

Designer:Dasha Vasilkova & Dasha Soboleva| Photographer:Sergey Krasyuk
Our first explosion of hues come in the form of a colorful ethnic vibe interior, filled with bold clashing pattern and plush texture.

The sofa is a treat for the senses with its rich teal shade and deep quilted cover. A soft fabric pouffe has a lighter teal top, crowned with a golden tray and a pretty duo of colour coordinated planters.

A small side table has golden legs that match the tray on the coffee table pouffe. A magenta pink accent chair provides the perfect clashing contrast to the neighbouring teal sofa. Tribal print scatter cushions decorate the seating. More ideas for eye-catching accent chairs here.

A bulbous blue vase billows from the top of the small gold side table, displaying a spray of natural greenery at its top. A sprig of impossibly blue leaves colour the corner of the room behind.

The length of the small room has been sectioned into two by a room divider fashioned as a set of shelves and storage cubbies. The shelves are accessible from both side which gives the dividing wall a transparent quality, rather than completely obstructing the visual or natural light from either side. A ‘Love’ motif backs the solid tv panel on the dining room side.

Glass doors close across the living room to seal off the home entryway. A second plush pink accent chair can be seen through the pane.

The dining room is attached to a kitchen with breakfast bar. Shades of teal run throughout, and are brought together in one large geometric style area rug beneath the dining room table.

A modern chandelier hangs quietly in a plain white finish.

Driftwood adds shape to the corner of the dining room, in the form of a unique floor lamp. You can find more unique floor lamps here.

A trio of kitchen pendant lights line the breakfast bar, which is equipped with a pair of teal kitchen bar stools .

The flooring in the kitchen is a busy blue circular design, which morphs into a blue and yellow version out into the home entryway.

Yellow, blue and teal pattern tiles are interspersed with fresh plain white tiles to create a colourful yet clean looking kitchen backsplash. This time, pink accents come in the form of a baby pink vase, plus a herb planter and matching fruit bowl that teeter on mini monochrome legs.

The orange-red tubing of a pull-out faucet clashes against the kitchen backsplash .

The different floor patterns over the four areas of living space compete for attention.

Wise owl decor overlooks the cacophony of colour.

Behind another set of glass doors, an uplifting bedroom scheme awaits.

Spiritual artwork adorns the wall over the headboard. A spray of cobalt blue brings the colour of the art into the room, as does bright scatter cushions on the bed.

More spiritual art appears in the bathroom of the home, this time in statue form on top of a wall mounted modern vanity unit. Botanical themed pieces and a green colour scheme conjure a rejuvenating ambiance.

Visualizer:Vittorio Bonapace
Our second apartment interior is home to vibrant and whimsical eclectic decor, with a definite childlike charm.

There is a simplicity in the colour blocking of this apartment that is akin to kids’ decor and children’s toys.

Indeed, this apartment plays host to quite a few of those toys, from days gone by.

The tri-colour dining room pendant lights would look just as at home in a playroom.

Cut logs fill the disused fireplace, their ends painted in a rainbow of colours to play their part in the scheme.

Mix and match dining chairs create an eclectic party atmosphere around the red dining table.

A sophisticated classic gilt framed mirror and a traditional fireplace surround offsets the loudly playful decor.

A monochrome runner is unfurled beneath the dining table as a visual anchor.

Whimsical tea party table decorations make magic on the glossy top.

The strange and dreamy centrepiece has an Alice in Wonderland appeal.

Retro toys line the mantle - perhaps the inspiration for this home theme.

More toy treasures fill an adjacent shelf above a red painted radiator.

Sliding glass doors lead to the bathroom. The glass has been backed with an array of coloured film, each with its own unique pattern. Light from the bathroom window make the stunning design look luminous. Inside the bathroom, a red roll top bath awaits, its claw feet gripping a tile floor of even more pattern. A red border wraps the room, with vivid sunshine yellow filling in the lower half of the walls. A unique clothes stand awaits to hold garments up off the floor, or to be loaded with a towel.
Dark isn’t the first theme that comes to mind when designing a kitchen. Stereotypical assumptions are of white and bright kitchens matched by light wood—something like the color of breakfast pancakes. Have you ever thought otherwise? Perhaps something like a modern dark kitchen?
We’ve got a collection of stunning spaces sure to switch up your vision. This black kitchen design inspiration is the sexiest interior design can muster. All divulging in shades of black, navy, or dark brown, they add what white kitchens cannot—a seductive allure that says sleekness and sophistication at the same time. Take a peek at some brilliant interiors on the darker side to see if a modern luxury black kitchen could be for you.
